This honor recognizes her outstanding contributions to the field of education and her unwavering commitment to her students and community.
A Journey of Impact and Inspiration

Throughout her career, Green has taught various grade levels, including Pre-K, 1st, and 4th grades, but she holds a special place in her heart for Kindergarten. Her passion for nurturing young minds has been a driving force in her career, leading to her achieving a Master designation from the Texas Education Agency last year.

The Heart of a Teacher
For Green, teaching is more than just a profession—it is a calling. “What I love most about being a teacher is the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students’ lives. Every day brings a chance to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and nurture the potential in every learner,” she explained. Her dedication to her students is a testament to her belief that education can transform lives and communities.
Recognition and Future Aspirations
The selection for this award by Dr. Mays, a leader known for his vision and commitment to the district's success, adds to the significance of this recognition. Green expressed her appreciation, stating, “Being selected for this award by Dr. Mays is an incredible honor and one that I deeply appreciate. To be recognized by someone who leads with vision and commitment to our district’s success makes this even more meaningful. I am truly grateful and inspired to continue serving with passion and purpose.”
Looking ahead, Green is poised for new challenges and opportunities. She was recently chosen for a teacher leadership fellowship opportunity with the Texas Education Agency (TEA). In this role, she will collaborate with other educators to provide input on TEA initiatives aimed at strengthening student retention and outcomes. Additionally, she plans to use this opportunity to enhance her leadership skills by offering professional learning opportunities tied to teacher policy competencies.
