Hello! Iβm Tisha Jones, and Iβm incredibly honored and excited to serve as the Principal of Kennedy Elementary. Iβve been a proud member of the Alief family for 24 years, and my journey in education has been deeply rooted in a love for learning and a commitment to student success. Iβm an alumna of Sam Houston State University and the University of HoustonβClear Lake, where I built the foundation for my career in education.
I began my teaching career at Boone Elementary, where I taught Pre-K through 4th grade and led the AIMS Gifted and Talented program. My passion for literacy and instructional excellence led me to Hicks Elementary, where I served as an ELAR Instructional Specialist. I later embraced leadership roles as Assistant Principal at both Chambers and Horn Elementary, where I focused on building strong teams and fostering student growth.
My philosophy is simple: quality education grows from a positive school environment. I believe that when we nurture a culture of respect, collaboration, and high expectations, we create a community of lifelong learners. As a servant leader, I strive to inspire others, promote positive interactions with all stakeholders, and build teacher and student capacity as leaders.
At Kennedy Elementary, Iβm committed to fostering a culture of excellence where all scholars thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially. Through high expectations, meaningful relationships, and innovative learning experiences, we cultivate lifelong learners and active problem solvers prepared to lead and succeed in an ever-changing world.
