In-District Transfers are for students who live in Alief but would like to attend a school other than their assigned school.

Limited Open Enrollment is for out-of-district families living in the greater Houston area and are interested in attending Alief ISD schools.

• If you are living inside of the Alief ISD boundary and need to register, please visit Enroll. The application link is only for zoned families.

Parents of students living outside the Alief ISD attendance boundaries will have an opportunity to apply to enroll their children in selected Alief ISD schools for the school year through the Limited Open Enrollment Program.

The program will help Alief ISD because state funding is based on enrollment. For each additional student enrolled in Alief ISD, the district retains more of its local tax revenue, which in turn will help the district support its maintenance and operations, as well as continue to build innovative programs and retain highly qualified staff.

Attention Families! The Alief ISD 2024-2025 Limited-Open-Enrollment Application is now available for submission. Limited Open Enrollment is for out-of-district families living in the greater Houston area and are interested in attending Alief ISD schools.

Alief ISD employees who do not live in Alief but wish to have their child(ren) attend an Alief school, may apply for an out-of-district transfer.

Staff, Alief ISD is now accepting Out-of-District Transfers for the 2024-2025 (incoming year) School year.  You may access the application by clicking on the link below.  If you already have a PowerSchool account, please sign in and access your account to complete the application.

A few reminders:

• Out-of-district transfers are only for full-time Alief employees who reside out of the district and desire to bring their child to our district.

• Any employee who currently has a student enrolled in our district on an Out-of-District Transfer must renew it each year (if the student still qualifies).

• The deadline to complete the Out-of-District Transfer is May 23, 2023.
